Family Business Since 1984<\/h2>\n

Richard completed his apprenticeship in painting and decorating in Sheffield and obtained the City and Guilds Advanced Craft and Colour & Design Award.<\/p>\n

Richard’s Daughter Adriana came to join the company in 2020 as an apprentice and is now a fully qualified lady decorator who is a great asset to the team.<\/p>\n

In 1984 set up his family business, Richard Smithson Decorating Services.<\/p>\n

We are a corporate member of the \u2018guild of mastercraftsmen\u2019.<\/p>\n

As a professional painter and decorator we aim always to provide a quality painting & decorating service to residental, commercial & industrial clients alike.<\/p>\n

One of our most distinctive recent projects took place in Sheffield, where a client approached us with an ambitious and highly creative brief: to recreate the atmosphere and artistry of a traditional Portuguese church within their caf\u00e9 and jazz club.<\/p>\n

The inspiration came from the stunning interior of the Igreja de Santa Marta<\/span><\/span> in Ericeira<\/span><\/span>, renowned for its rich decorative finishes and beautifully aged, hand-painted surfaces.
